3Service Description and Access
Dringbell offers a digital doorbell service. The user (owner) creates an account, defines a household or establishment profile, and generates a unique QR code. This QR code, displayed at the entrance of their property, allows visitors to initiate a real-time audio/video call (via WebRTC technology) by scanning it with their smartphone, without any application to install.
In case of unavailability of the owner (no response after a configurable delay of 20 to 40 seconds), the visitor is invited to leave a written, audio, or video message. This message is then encrypted and securely stored to be consulted later by the owner from their dashboard.
Registration and configuration of the Service are restricted to natural persons of legal age (18 years and older) or legitimate representatives of legal entities. The information provided must be accurate and kept up to date.
4Subscriptions, Pricing and Physical Modules
The Dringbell Service is structured as recurring subscriptions with no commitment, billed via the secure payment platform Stripe.
1 active doorbell, only 1 member per household, SD video quality, limited to 3 received messages per month, message history kept for 30 days, best-effort technical support, Dringbell branding visible on the visitor interface.
1 active doorbell, up to 5 members per household, HD video quality, unlimited messages, full privacy mode, message history kept for 90 days, artificial intelligence noise reduction, smart automatic replies, technical support within 48 hours, removal of Dringbell branding.
Up to 3 active doorbells, unlimited household members, 4K ultra-high-definition video quality, unlimited messages, unlimited message history retention, automatic AI transcription of voice messages, machine learning (ML) anti-solicitation filtering, public API (up to 1 000 requests per day), priority technical support within 4 hours.
Optional physical accessories are sold separately per unit: E-ink electronic ink companion screen (49 €), brushed stainless steel doorbell plate (19,90 €), brass or noble wood doorbell plate (39,90 € to 49,90 €), and packs of NFC stickers (5 €).
Subscriptions are billed in advance and automatically renewed unless cancelled. Cancellation can be made at any time from your account settings and takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are granted. Prices are exclusive of taxes; the applicable VAT of 20 % in France is added at checkout.
5Right of Withdrawal
Digital subscriptions: In accordance with Article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code, you have a period of 14 days to withdraw from your subscription. However, by requesting the immediate activation of the Service and the generation of your QR codes before the expiration of this period, you expressly waive your right of withdrawal from the moment the service is fully operational.
Physical products (Plates, Screens, NFC Stickers): The buyer has a legal period of 14 days from the physical receipt of the accessories to exercise their right of withdrawal. Products must be returned complete, in their original intact packaging, and in perfect condition for resale. Return postal costs are exclusively borne by the buyer.
6Obligations of Users and Visitors
The User (owner) agrees to use the platform in compliance with applicable laws. In their capacity as local controller of their doorbell, they must ensure that the collection of the audio and video stream of their visitors is carried out in compliance with local regulations on privacy and intercom devices. Any use of the Service aimed at spying, harassing, or disproportionately monitoring public areas or neighboring properties is strictly prohibited.
The Visitor agrees not to abuse the calling system (malicious repeated calls, spam) and not to formulate voice or written messages containing offensive, defamatory, racist, or public order-violating remarks. Dringbell implements automatic filtering and IP blocking tools based on an anonymous cryptographic hash to protect users against solicitation and harassment.
7Intellectual Property
All software components, interface designs, trademarks, plate models, and machine learning algorithms constituting the Dringbell solution are the exclusive property of the company KWALEAD SAS. Granting access to the Service does not transfer any intellectual property rights. Any unauthorized reproduction, modification, or extraction will be subject to criminal and civil prosecution.
8Availability, Technical Limits and Liability
KWALEAD SAS endeavors to maintain a platform availability of 99,5 % on a monthly basis, excluding planned preventive maintenance operations notified in advance.
Inherent limitations of real-time communication technology:
- Network and NAT: Audio/video streams are established peer-to-peer via WebRTC. Although Dringbell maintains a global network of TURN relay servers (coturn on Fly.io) to bypass restrictive firewalls, certain local network configurations (highly secure corporate networks, mobile dead zones) may prevent communication from being established.
- Push Notifications: Waking up the Dringbell mobile application relies on third-party services from Google Firebase (FCM) and Apple (APNs). KWALEAD SAS cannot be held liable for delays or failures in push notification delivery related to the power-saving rules of the recipient's mobile operating system or network outages of these third-party providers.
In no event shall KWALEAD SAS be held liable for indirect material losses, missed deliveries, or the inability of a visitor to ring the doorbell. Except in cases of proven gross negligence, the overall cumulative liability of the publisher is expressly capped at the amounts received by Dringbell from the user during the three (3) months preceding the incident.
9Modifications of the Terms
KWALEAD SAS reserves the right to revise these terms and conditions in order to adapt them to legal or technical developments, or to the addition of new features. Users will be notified of any substantial modification with a minimum notice of 30 calendar days before the application of the new TOS. Continued use of the platform after this period will constitute definitive acceptance.
10Applicable Law and Disputes
These Terms of Service are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute or litigation, the User and the Publisher agree to seek an amicable settlement as a priority. In accordance with Articles L611-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, individual consumers may resort to a consumer mediator free of charge. Any persistent dispute that cannot be resolved amicably and involves professionals will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tribunal de commerce de Créteil, France.
